SERVING OUR COMMUNITY

Community lunches

These take place once a month during term time at Christ Church House and are a great way that we can build links with local people. All are welcome for a wonderful hot meal whilst enjoying hospitality and friendship and hearing something about the Christian faith.

English classes

One of the ways we help people within our local community is through English classes. Breaking through the language barrier is a great first step in becoming more connected with local people.

The classes are free and are held in Christ Church House on Thursdays from 10:00 - 11:30. Please contact office@cockfosters.church for further information, everyone is welcome.

5 Oaks residential care home

We have a long-standing association with Five Oaks, where we offer Sunday afternoon services on a regular basis. We seek to share the perfect love of Jesus and offer pastoral support to the residents and their families.

Mustard Seed homeless ministry

Members of Christ Church partner with churches in Palmers Green to help those who are homeless and in need. Hot meals are served on Monday and Wednesday evenings at New Life Church. Those who serve in this way also sit, chat, play games and help in any way they can by signposting those in desperate need to local services. This project has now grown into a family, and the people that use this service can feel loved while keeping their dignity intact as they receive the much-needed help.

Street Pastors

Enfield Street Pastors began in 2006, and have four teams who currently head into the towns on a Friday and Saturday evening to interact with those who may need a helping hand after the evening's socialising.  Street Pastors often find opportunity to talk to people about Jesus as they help these individuals out.
